Word Formation for Cambridge® Exams teaches the word building skills tested on exams like the Cambridge® First and Advanced, or TOEFL.
The app consists of eight lessons, each of which has three sections: Notes, Word Builder and Practice.
The Notes introduce the principal ways of building new words using typical prefixes and suffixes as well as irregular forms.
The Word Builder allows you to drag and drop affixes onto keywords and edit them to form new parts of speech.
The Practice activities require you to complete gapped sentences by modifying keywords according to context.
As you work your way through the app, you will become familiar with the typical kinds of words and affixes which you need to be able to manipulate on advanced exams, expanding your vocabulary at the same time as you develop your exam skills.
Cambridge® is a registered trade mark of the University of Cambridge, which is not associated with this application in any way.
