It is important to understand that learning letters and speech sound formation are two different tasks. Your child’s path to the first words begins with exercises that help form speech sounds, syllables and the first words after that! At this stage there is no need to make your child learn letters, read or do other exercises for learning letters instead speech sounds. This might impose extra pressure on the child’s brain and sidetrack him/her from the main goal – well-developed speech and language skills.
