UmbiCalc vs NeonatAI Usage & Stats

This app provides the birth weight-based insertion length estimations for umbilical arterial and venous catheters placed in neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. UmbiCalc is based on the algorithm described by Tambasco et al. in “A Novel and Accurate Method for Estimating Umbilical Arterial and Venous Catheter Insertion Length.” Journal of Perinatology 2021. The algorithm was derived from statistical modeling using a representative sample of the current NICU population and validated across a wide range of birth weights. Intended for use by neonatologists, pediatricians, and advanced practice providers for personal educational purposes only. It is not intended for use in clinical practice or the delivery of medical care. Always consult with a healthcare provider for advice concerning your health.
