GymRat Fitness vs wikifit – Calorie Counter Usage & Stats
Whether your exercise program is provided by physiotherapist, a personal trainer, or you design it yourself, you need to proceed at your own pace, adjusting reps and weight as appropriate. This, and the fact that your routines are likely to be switched up every few weeks, makes it challenging to keep track of exactly where you're at in each exercise you do.
GymRat helps you keep track of the information you need when it's time to do a training session. Create workouts, add exercises to them, and configure the sets for each exercise.
Depending on how you train, the workouts you create can be based on muscle groups, day of the week, or any other way you want to organize your sessions. The exercises you add to each workout can be based on reps or time. The sets you add to each exercise are unique, so each can have a different rep quantity or length, as well as a weight. You can even set up a rest interval between them. And no need to check the wall clock or your wrist every few seconds to know if your timed set or rest period is over. GymRat lets you know when a set has ended and when it's time to start the next one.
Like the convenience of not having to pick up your phone to see what's up next, or even be able to leave it in your gym locker? GymRat has you covered. It comes with a companion Apple Watch app. Using GymRat on your watch is as easy as raising your wrist. And it automatically syncs to your iPhone and iPad.
Message from the developer:
I’m personally very active. My physiotherapist provides me with exercises for my knees and a trainer handles those for my general fitness. More recently, I’ve taken to designing some of my own workouts. I couldn’t find an app to keep track of all of the details and that was simple, easy to use, and inexpensive, so I wound up writing the GymRat app for myself. I use it every day and I’ll continue to improve it whenever I see a way to do so.
