About the App CDSM: Cintron Dyslexia Solutions with Music
When you purchase the app, if you'd like a voucher to receive the Spelling Exercises, so you can check your child's work, email Dr. Cintron with purchase verification here. www.Dyslexia-solutions.com. She will send you the spelling exercises in a digital file.
This app requires internet connection and is divided into three subgroups. Students should be 7 years or older for using these exercises with the music. Music is always played in the LEFT ear and spelling in the RIGHT ear. This is called "Enhanced Lateralization."
For each button, students tap the button to begin the exercise, which can be paused, rewound, or fast forwarded as the student desires using the back, pause, and forward arrows.
Subgroup 1: Music which is played in the left ear during any reading exercise and letter names and sounds for practice if needed.
Subgroup 2: Spelling word lists increasing in difficulty. There are 28 spelling exercises. Be sure the music is played in the left ear.
Subgroup 3: Spelling sentence groups also increasing in difficulty. There are 8 sentence groups. Be sure the music is played in the left ear.

TARGET GROUP
Dyslexia Reading Game is a special education app designed to support reading skills of primary and secondary school students with dyslexia. It aims to improve reading fluency, eye/line tracking, reading motivation and self-regulation skills.
STRUCTURE OF THE APP
Dyslexia Reading Game is specially prepared for students with dyslexia and aims to produce multiple solutions to their reading problems. Reading strategies in the app designed from easy to difficult, from simple to complex and from concrete to abstract.
TARGET SKILLS
Dyslexia Reading Game aims to develop four skills of dyslexic students. These are: reading fluency, reading motivation, eye line tracking and self-regulation.
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS IN THE APP
Dyslexia Reading Game includes 72 original reading texts prepared according to the readability form of English. These texts have been prepared by considering six difficulty criteria. These criteria are:
1. Number of words in the text
2. Number of sentences in the text
3. Number of words in the sentence
4. Number of syllables in the word
5. Number of sounds in a syllable
6. The number of difficult words.
Reading texts in Dyslexia Reading Game are getting harder and harder. It has been adjusted so that the difficulty of the transition between texts is not felt so that the dyslexic student is not adversely affected by the difficulty level between the texts.
SPECIAL EDUCATION AND READING STRATEGIES
Dyslexia Reading Game uses strategies such as model reading + eye tracking, choral reading + eye tracking, repeated reading, performance feedback, goal setting, goal-oriented reading, graphical feedback and rewarding, which are widely used all over the world to support reading skills. In addition to the special education cognitive strategies it contains, a relay race between animals and a reading competition among users make the reading process enjoyable for students with dyslexia. As the user's reading fluency increases, the position of the animals in the relay race also changes. This motivates the user to read more fluently. The reading competition between users, on the other hand, allows four different users to challenge each other and organize a reading competition. With all these game contents, it is aimed to improve the motivation of students with dyslexia for reading. In Dyslexia Reading Game, students with dyslexia can gather the reading texts they like under the My Favorites menu and can access these texts again whenever they want.

In the section developed for parents in Dyslexia Reading Game, it is ensured that parents can follow the development of their children with dyslexia, the duration and frequency of use of the app, and the development of their reading skills. In addition, parents are informed about the special education strategies they should use to support the reading skills of their children with dyslexia.
