OVPlayer vs Plain Player Usage & Stats
This is a video player that allows continuous playback of locally-stored videos. While extremely simple and free of extraneous features, it has been carefully designed to allow stress-free operation.It also supports background playback.
Functions and features:
- Videos can be imported from files shared through iCloud Drive and iTunes. Using iTunes file sharing, even large videos can be quickly imported.
- Videos can also be imported from Dropbox and Google Drive if these are used.
- Switch to the previous or next video by swiping the screen left or right. This allows users to intuitively switch between videos.
- The player remembers the volume settings for each video, enabling users to switch between different volume levels when using continuous playback.
- Video playlist can be password-protected. This is perfect for videos that users do not want others to see.
- Full screen ads are not shown while using the app, allowing users to enjoy a comfortable experience free from interruptions.
- Audio-only files can also be played. In this case, the screen displays the name of the file while it is being played.
- Playlist can be freely filtered and sorted.
- Playlist can be played in sequence or in random order.
- Playback is possible in the background. (In the background, only audio is played.)

Plain player: a simple, convenient and very lite video & audio player. It can play many popular video formats like avi, mp4, mkv… and almost audio formats.
It has various settings that can help you easily to watch videos & audio in the way you want. It supports many gestures like double-tap, swipe to seek, change brightness, volume and zoom. You can easily choose the orientation of the video, so that you don’t need to change your device orientation setting whenever watching movie.
It can also support local subtitle. You can transfer subtitle file with the same name of the video to the same folder, and it will automatically show when you play video. Currently it only support srt format, but in the future, it can support other formats, too.
You can import video & audio files using a computer, or using app Files or Photos to copy video & audio files on your device to the app.
The app interface is very simple, plain and intuitive, so you can easily know how to use all the features of app on the first sight. It has some sort options and search function to help you find the video & audio you want. You can also edit metadata of mp3 files.
It even has a web view inside used to watch YouTube videos without ads. On iPad, you can watch up to 4K videos. So you don’t need to open your browser app when you need to watch YouTube videos. The youtube player also supports some gestures like swipe to seek, change brightness and volume.
Now you can listen to your youtube video/music while screen is turned off with picture in picture mode.
