Brain Monitor: Memory vs Cognitive Impairment Test Usage & Stats

Brain Monitor measures cognitive function to help prevent dementia. Cognitive function starts to decline as early as age 27, eventually resulting in dementia for over 50 million people. But cognitive decline can be slowed by brain healthy behaviors such as eating a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity, managing stress, getting enough sleep, maintaining strong social connections and participating in mentally stimulating activities. Most of us choose our behaviors with little regard for their long-term consequences. Being mindful of changes to cognitive function can help trigger the brain healthy behaviors that delay and even prevent dementia. Brain Monitor measures cognitive function by tracking brain game results for up to 100 years. The game in this app, Memory, is played by matching a sequence of flashing lights, with the number of flashes increasing as the game progresses. Scoring is based on the total number of matched flashes. Medical Disclaimer This app provides only information, is not medical or treatment advice and may not be treated as such by the user. Cognitive Impairment Testing Tool is easy to follow app which lets you test your loved one for any signs of cognitive impairment. The Cognitive Impairment Test is a screening instrument used to facilitate the assessment of mild cognitive impairment. A clinical assessment is necessary to interpret the results of the Cognitive Impairment Test. Interpretation of the test should only be done by healthcare professionals having an expertise in the cognitive field, including, among others, neurologists, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists and psychiatrists; and having followed the proper training and certification. Cognitive Impairment Test test results are not providing healthcare professionals with a diagnosis, but rather with additional information that needs to be interpreted in the light of all medical and other information that such healthcare professionals have about their patients. As such, the test results cannot be the only measure used to diagnose a person presenting with cognitive complaints, and shall only be interpreted by healthcare professionals with expertise in the cognitive field and in accordance with applicable law (including the practice standards applicable to their profession and the limitations, conditions or restrictions applicable to their practice). In doing so, healthcare professionals should bear in mind that since other factors may come into play in interpreting the results of this test, results considered “normal” do not necessarily mean there is no cognitive impairment and vice versa.
