Learning English isn't just about passing exams—it's a window to the world and a way to enrich your thinking and cultural understanding. Even if you're focused on academics, scoring higher in English is always beneficial. And if you're interested in enjoying original content like TV shows, Harry Potter, or international magazines, mastering English opens the door to first-hand enjoyment and insight.
ReadingPro was designed to solve the common challenges in English learning. For many, textbooks are just the beginning; the real treasure lies in original texts. But this journey can be daunting. Readers often struggle with unfamiliar words, idioms, complex sentences, and cultural differences that slow progress and dampen enthusiasm. Constantly stopping to look up words or background information can drain the joy from reading.
ReadingPro tackles these issues head-on. With a simple photo of a page, the app recognizes words and phrases, providing English definitions and example sentences. We believe in learning English in English—early use of English definitions helps you think in English, bypassing the need to translate everything into your native language. Our built-in dictionary, covering around 30,000 words, is designed for most learning scenarios. We’ve also partnered with the top-tier Collins Dictionary for those who need more.
Beyond vocabulary, ReadingPro excels at identifying proper nouns, famous names, and places, offering background information to clarify the text. While it’s not perfect, it significantly reduces the need to stop and search for explanations.
A standout feature of ReadingPro Max is its syntax analysis. It helps break down long, complex, and beautiful sentences, clarifying their structure and enhancing your understanding. This feature makes traditional practices like copying down good sentences even more effective, aiming to help you quote, paraphrase, and even emulate these sentences—expanding your learning from words to full sentences.
To support your retention, ReadingPro uses advanced algorithms from FSRS and ANKi to create memory flashcards, significantly improving your memory efficiency. This ensures that the vocabulary, phrases, and sentences you encounter become a lasting part of your knowledge and skills.
