Weird Type vs Reality Browser Usage & Stats

Have you ever wanted to draw with words? Weird Type is an AR app that lets you paint with text in space! You can type your own phrases and pick from multiple modes and see your text in completely new ways. You can record videos of your messages and share them or save them to you camera roll. It's based on a series of AR experiments that the authors Zach Lieberman and Molmol Kuo have been posting to Instagram over the last few months. People kept asking, "is that an app?" Now, together with our collaborator Design Indaba, which helped produce this, we're packaging some of these experiments into app and we hope you enjoy them! The app is designed by Richard The, with iOS help from Ying Quan Tan, Robby Kraft, and Peter Sibley Note the app now supports multi-lingual input.

An experimental slice of the Real-World Metaverse made for the Niantic Lightship Summit 2022. Open this app at the event to uncover the hidden Reality Channels around you: - Summit Channel - Experience a fantastical augmented world, tightly woven into the physical architecture of the venue. Take photos with each other, and post them to the virtual photo walls. - Navigation Channel - Find your way around and check what's on now/next, with virtual signage that displays the event schedule. - Sights Channel - New to San Francisco? Find out more about the things around you, from the buildings on the skyline to the coffee in the snack bars. - Stickerverse - The venue is a giant canvas for you (and everyone else) to fill with your stickers. - VPS Channel - Take a peek under the hood to see how Niantic Lightship VPS is powering the experience.
