Number Shield vs Simple Call Blocker Usage & Stats

Block annoying scammers who hide behind fake phone numbers. Do you get unwanted calls or text messages from phone numbers similar to your own? With Number Shield, block an entire group of numbers at once. Just enter a wildcard for each digit you want to block. For example, if your number is 714-555-1234, scammers might use a number like 714-555-6789. Block all similar numbers by entering 714-555-####. Wildcards and numbers can be combined in any order you choose. Block international numbers, too! To make sure you don't miss calls from your family and friends, phone numbers in your contacts are always allowed. Block numbers directly from your phone's missed calls screen. Just follow these steps: 1. Tap the “ i ” button next to the missed call. 2. Tap “Share Contact”. 3. Tap “Block Similar Numbers”. (If you don't see this action, tap “Edit Actions...“ to enable it.) 4. Now you'll see the Number Shield number entry screen. Tap “Done” to block calls from similar numbers. Please note: • Each number pattern can contain up to 7 wildcards, and up to 50,000,000 phone numbers can be blocked. • Blocked calls are sent directly to voice mail. • Blocked text messages are sent to the “Junk” filter in the Messages app. • iMessage messages are not blocked. • When “Do Not Disturb” is enabled on your phone, calls that should be blocked may appear in your phone's list of missed calls. Simple Call Blocker

Simple Call Blocker is a utility that lets you block unwanted calls to your iPhone. It allows you to block individual numbers, or ranges of numbers. You may also add individual numbers or ranges of numbers to the Allow List, so that they will not be blocked by this app, even if they are in the Block List. Optionally, you may also allow all of your phone's contacts. ## Does the app contain a list of known phone spammers to block? No. Simple Call Blocker does not provide or maintain a known spammers blacklist. There are several other iOS call blockers that do, which you can use for free, if that feature is important to you. You may use Simple Call Blocker in conjunction with one of those other apps to blacklist additional numbers. ## Why would I use this app? Three reasons: 1. Simple Call Blocker allows you to block a range of phone numbers, to help prevent “neighbor spam”, for free. Other apps may let you blacklist individual phone numbers, but require an in-app purchase or paid subscription to block ranges of numbers. 2. Simple Call Blocker does not collect your personal information. You do not need to provide it access to your contacts unless you wish to enable the “allow all contacts” option. In contrast, some call blockers require a subscription or even a login to their web service in order to work. 3. Simple Call Blocker is designed to be very simple and reliable. In contrast, with many call blockers, it is hard to determine how many numbers are in the blacklist, whether or not the “Call Directory app extension” is loaded, and so on. ## Privacy Policy Simple Call Blocker does not collect any of your information, period. No data within the app or accessed by the app is ever transmitted to the developer.
