Zulu Waterways vs Anchor Sentry Usage & Stats

Zulu Offshore is a Global Sailing Guide and Maps App with Both Online and Offline Functionality. This global guide contains a wealth of knowledge about anchorages, marinas and navigation information which is added and maintained by the community. Previously two separate apps, Zulu Waterways and Zulu Offshore, this new version allows offline use (downloading and storing maps and content onto your device) and online use (streaming of the maps and content) via the one app. Asides from the detailed guide information, Zulu includes charts, satellite imagery, weather, ais, and navigation functionality. This is a free app with options to purchase large areas of offline satellite imagery if more than the free amounts is required. Zulu contains a great deal of useful infroatmion with more being added daily by cruisers from around the globe. Anchor Sentry

Anchor Sentry is an app to monitor the ship's position at anchor and inform the skipper when the anchor is dragging and thus the ship leaves the setup perimeter. Features: - Show current position on GoogleMaps map or Navionics map (To gain access to Navionics maps from this application, users with an active Navionics subscription in the Navionics Boating application must register with their Navionics credentials) - Distance circles to help finding a good anchor position - Drop anchor by tapping on map or by position or by bearing and distance - Can be used for anchoring with shore lines by watching the heading rather than the position - Tracks can be saves as GPX file for later processing - Option to set up prohibited zones which will trigger an alert when entered.
