The EasyTBSA smartphone application was developed in partnership between the Division of Trauma and Burns and the Sheik Zayed Institute at Children’s National Hospital.
EasyTBSA requires the entry of a patient’s age and weight and the shading of burned areas on representative body part maps.
When using this application, it is important to remember to only shade areas that have a partial thickness burn or a full thickness burn. Superficial burns should not be included when calculating the TBSA of the burned patient.
