ASHRAE HVAC Duct Sizer vs HVAC Psych HD Usage & Stats

The ASHRAE HVAC Duct Sizer application allows you to quickly size one HVAC duct run or a range of duct sizes using the constant friction method. Think of this application as a digital version of the classic Trane Ductulator. In the "Size by Airflow" mode, you can specify the total airflow in CFM (or L/s), the aspect ratio and one of either the velocity of air or the friction loss per 100 feet (30 meters). The results include both the exact and rounded height and width (or diameter) dimensions and the calculated velocity and friction loss. In the "Size by Dimensions" mode, you can analyze an existing duct system. There are options to input the existing duct dimensions and one of either the airflow or velocity values to derive the calculated duct friction loss. In the "Range of Duct Sizes" mode, you can specify minimum and maximum friction loss and airflow values to display a range of duct sizes that fall in between the friction loss bounds. You can specify additional parameters such as the duct shape (rectangular, round, or oval), the air temperature and the air pressure. You can also choose to display values in either English (IP) or Metric (SI) units. This application uses slider controls that allow you to quickly increment or decrement the input values and immediately observe the calculated results. This app now works on your iPhone and iPad and adjusts its screen size accordingly. Finally, you can email all of the inputs and results from all 3 input modes to perform further analysis using your desktop computer. The HVAC Psychrometric Chart app is the first truly interactive graphical psychrometric chart for the iPad, and it includes both IP and SI units. This app is now optimized for iOS 16. Using your finger, you can easily plot HVAC and other psychrometric processes on the iPad screen while you are out in the field, save the graphs, and then email the graph and results to yourself or clients. The HVAC Psych Chart app includes the following features and functionality: 1. Displays a fully customizable psychrometric chart in both landscape and portrait modes. 2. Allows you to customize the graph in many different ways including specifying the psychrometric chart line colors, chart background color, hide/display status of chart lines, point colors, process line colors, units of graph values, and the min/max limits of the chart. 3. Using your finger, you can plot as many points as you want on the screen. As you move your finger around the graph, the psychrometric properties at the top of the screen dynamically update . In addition, you can double-tap a point to display the point properties and then edit them. 4. Create psychrometric processes by plotting points then connecting them with process lines. Also, create custom labels anywhere on the chart. 5. After you have completed creating the chart, you can email a list of all the points and their properties along with a PDF of the chart, itself. 6. Create an unlimited number of psychrometric chart projects. Also, you can create templates that you can reuse over and over again. 7.
