Start with the Lessons and learn the basics of music theory.  Then, go to the Practice and learn by repetition at a different difficulty level. Start with the line and space notes, and when you are ready, expand your learning. Learn to play simple melodies like "Happy Birthday" or "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Set your daily goal and use the app's timer to stay on track. Collect Stickers for every session with at least a few good answers. If you don't recognize the note, don't worry. Just swipe the screen to see the music flashcard with the correct note name. Adjust the settings when playing a live instrument or singing: The microphone's sensitivity to filter out background sounds and noises. Note transposition when playing the guitar or singing. Start with simple notes in treble clef for total beginners up to identification of exotic scale modes in mezzo-soprano clef. These topics are covered: - Key signatures up to 7 accidentals of major or major scale - Intervals including compound intervals (up to double octave). In identification mode can be double sharps or double flats used. - Chords including triads, sixths, sevenths, extended chords (9ths, 11ths), suspended chords, open voicing, inversions... - Scales including all scale modes of major or minor scales (modes of harmonic or melodic scale), neapolitan scales, pentatonic scales - Diatonic chord degrees on major or minor scale as triads or seventh chords - Rhythm exercises with up to sixteenth notes or dotted and double dotted notes.
