In addition, the SafeDrivePod can measure how well you drive. If you brake hard, accelerate hard or tear through corners, your score will drop. It is a good way to become aware of your driving style and improve it if necessary. The app has to be running on your phone at all times and Bluetooth Low Energy has to be enabled at all times. The battery cost of the app, however, is minimal and hardly noticeable. When the app is not used correctly, by e.g. turning off Bluetooth, so that you can still use your phone in the car, this is reported to the server, where it is shown in a dashboard to which your fleet manager, lease company or insurance company could have access (depending on your contract).
