JUMO Device vs Stepper Motor Calculator Usage & Stats
The free JUMO Device app allows smartphones and tablets to communicate with the paperless recorder JUMO LOGOSCREEN 600.
The app can scan for devices in the company network and displays the discovered devices in an easy-to-read list. Users can select the device either from this list or do so manually by entering the IP address / DNS designation.
If a JUMO device is selected via the app, the device tells the app which data it can provide. This data could, for example, include current measured values, events, or alarms.
The JUMO Device app also supports the automation system JUMO mTRON T (as of version 249.03.05), the process and program controller JUMO DICON touch (as of version 266.02.03), and the modular multichannel measuring device for liquid analysis JUMO AQUIS touch (as of version 304.02.08). The paperless recorder JUMO LOGOSCREEN 600 is supported as of version 323.01.01.

The Stepper Motor Calculator is designed to calculate the maximum speed of a stepper motor, as well as the minimum time per step and the maximum power dissipation.
A stepper motor, also known as a step motor or stepping motor, is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps. The motor's position can then be commanded to move and hold at one of these steps without any position sensor for feedback (an open-loop controller), as long as the motor is carefully sized to the application in respect to torque and speed.
Stepper motors are often computer-controlled and can be categorized under motion-control positioning. In this application, the stepper motor is part of an open-loop system for holding or positioning objects. The stepper motor is a popular type of synchronous motor because it allows for precise movements or "steps." This type of motor also produces a lot of torque given its size and is mostly used in industrial applications.
Because they allow very small movements, stepper motors are also found in the field of lasers and optics, where precision positioning is often required. These motors are often part of linear actuators, goniometers, and rotation stages. Similarly, stepper motors are used in fluid control systems, particularly in positioning valve pilot stages. They can also be found in packaging machinery.
Stepper motors are mostly used in 3D printers and CNC machines as actuators. They are also used in disk drives, printers, slot machines, camera lenses, and image scanners.
To compute the maximum revolutions per second, divide seconds per step by steps per revolution.
Rev/sec = V/(L*2*Imax)/(steps/rev)
Pmax = 2*Imax*V
Where:
V = Voltage - Volts (V)
L = Inductance - milliHenry (mH)
Imax = Current - Amps (A)
Pmax = Max Power - Watts
