• sets targets per word.
• sets goals for you to reach over time.
• scores, records, and grades your results.
• displays scoring tables and targets.
• gives hints when requested.
• saves and retrieves games in progress.
• displays quick help messages.
• is off-line.
• does not collect personal information.
• has no ads.
Everyone able to spell may enjoy this game.
The word set comprises words commonly used in everyday communication, comply with age-related requirements and avoid words that may be offensive, sensitive, or local slang.
Words used have the same spelling in US and UK English.
The difficulty level varies so both learners and advanced players may enjoy the game.
To play, you enter successive guesses to find a hidden word. The game scores each guess against the hidden word, and you use the information for your next guess.
The words are set in five groups with word lengths from four to eight characters long and each of these is set in five levels of increasing difficulty. There are thus twenty-five categories.
Targets are set to solve each word and the game accumulates your scores over time, in your own device’s storage. The game also sets cumulative targets and grades your achievements.
Each grade sets a higher target, so the game remains challenging.
There are two modes, called Mi Pace and Mi Week.
Mi Pace challenges you to solve words at your own pace. The words you play are set randomly and deliberately will not be in the same order as other players. You can progress to higher levels and grades rapidly or slowly, depending on your own wishes. Learners may take longer as their skills in recognizing word construction and spelling improves. Skilled players will find the game increasingly challenging at higher levels and grades.
Mi Week sets twenty-five words for you to solve each week and records your performance for the week. These range from a four-letter word at level one to an eight-letter word at level five. This mode sets other players the same set of words to solve each week based on the device’s system date. You may compare scores with other players of your choice in a way you choose. The game is off-line, so you cannot share scores from within the game. So go-ahead and form your own groups with your fellow learners, your family, or your friends, and share scores in the way your group finds most convenient.
If you are stuck, you may request a hint. But this will reduce your score potential.
The game saves unfinished attempts on your device, for you to continue later. This gives you more time to solve the word.
