The Samaritan Alphabet, or Samaritan Script is a direct descendant of the Paleo-Hebrew script, which was used by ancient Israelites (both Jewish and Samaritan). The Samaritan alphabet is used for writing the holy texts of the Samaritan religion, such as the Samaritan Pentateuch, which is written in Samaritan Hebrew, which is a little different from other varieties of Hebrew.
