It puts a real-time processing tool in your hands: your own iPhone or iPad. As you move between specific spots in a delimited area, sonic effects modify the ambient sounds that are present. The app is easy to use. As you weave through the area, you can create your own musical sequences and patterns. No technical handling required. All you need to do is walk around. During the customized walkscapes, which were specifically written for this app, fiction fuses with reality. Natural, musical, and vocal sounds are superimposed onto 'live noise' from the surrounding area, which is processed in real-time. Past and present, sound and space become intertwined.
