Significant (symbolic) numbers are the digits used to represent the modified number. Only the landmark farthest to the right is uncertain. The farthest right digit has a certain error in value, but it is still significant. Exact numbers have an exactly known value. There is no error or uncertainty in the value of the correct number.

HieroKeyboard the App will provide you with the ability to type in Hieroglyphs (Unilateral Symbols), numbers,  and the transliteration characters. It includes an organized Gardiner's Hieroglyphs list in independent categories.
