The app does not require any light to operate and can work in complete darkness. SEE WITH INFRARED TRUE DEPTH For compatible devices (devices with FaceID), the front-facing true depth camera is used to see in the dark. For both the LIDAR sensor and the true depth camera, the app uses creates a pseudo color image using the depth data from the sensors.
