Η εφαρμογή του gov.gr προσφέρει σε όλους τη δυνατότητα να εκδίδουν ηλεκτρονικά έγγραφα και να κρατούν αρχείο με δηλώσεις, εξουσιοδοτήσεις και πιστοποιητικά που έχουν καταρτίσει. Η πρώτη επίσημη εφαρμογή της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης αποτελεί έναν «ψηφιακό χαρτοφύλακα» με πολλαπλές λειτουργίες: οι πολίτες μπορούν να ανταλλάσσουν ηλεκτρονικά έγγραφα μέσω των θυρίδων τους, καθώς επίσης και να ελέγχουν τη γνησιότητά τους μέσω των κωδικών QR που φέρουν.
