Morse & Flags is an app designed to teach you Morse Code and Flag Semaphore. Once you have learnt either or both Morse Code and / or Flag Semaphore you can test your ability by getting someone else to enter in some text for you to decipher or test your friends ability. Both the Morse Code and Flag Semaphore options allow you to change the speed of delivery as you become more proficient. Morse code is most popular among amateur radio operators, however there is still requirement for pilots and air traffic controllers to have an understanding of Morse code as aeronautical navigational aids, such as VORs and NDBs, constantly identify in Morse code. Flag Semaphore is the system for communicating at distance by means of visual signals with hand-held flags, rods, disks, paddles, or occasionally bare or gloved hands. The Flag Semaphore system uses two short poles with square flags, which a signalman holds in different positions to signal letters of the alphabet and numbers. The signalman holds one pole in each hand, and extends each arm in one of eight possible directions.
