Sigmet Decode vs Snowtam Lite Usage & Stats

Sigmet Decode is a new SIGMET viewer, making it quick and simple to view SIGMETs on a beautiful and easy to use interface. SIGMETs are shown worldwide on an innovative split-screen display, allowing a table and map view to be shared simultaneously. Routes with multiple waypoints can be created using a global navigation database and are correctly displayed as great-circles. Any en-route SIGMETs can then be immediately listed and zoomed in on. The future position of moving SIGMETs is visualised using a simple timing slider. The raw text of SIGMETs can be viewed or hidden and the guidelines used to build the SIGMETs (ie 'N of N25') can also be seen if desired. Snowtam Lite is a quick and intuitive tool for pilots to decoding 8 digit MOTNE codes, which provide information about runway condition. The spin dial interface ensures that invalid codes cannot be entered. The application also provides a complete breakdown of the codes in the help page. The full version of Snowtam provides several additional features, including decoding of Snowtam report, cold temperature corrections and an in-built database of +12,000 airport ICAO codes.
