Nine members of the Sheriff’s Office command staff are graduates of the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Operating from the W.S. “Buck” Jones Administration building, the Sheriff’s Office maintains an around-the-clock law enforcement presence in rural Lee County.

The Opelika, Alabama Police Department mobile application is an interactive app which will help improve our communication with the citizens of Opelika and surrounding areas. The purpose of this app is to improve our ability to communicate with our citizens information which will include, but not be limited to News Releases, Staff Directory, Most Wanted, Agency Programs, Resources and more. Citizens may submit a crime tip directly through the app, as well as see and share social media posts.
