Acidity in Organic Chemistry -- A section on acidity, resonance and oxidation/reduction in organic chemistry. 3. Hydrocarbons in Organic Chemistry-- Properties, physical characteristics, nomenclature of alkanes and cycloalkanes. Also introduces the first reaction of free-radical halogenation. 4. Stereochemistry-- An examination of stereochemistry and stereoisomerism 5. Spectroscopy-- An introduction to NMR Spectroscopy (HNMR and C-13 NMR), Mass Spectrometry, and Infrared Spectroscopy 6. Nucleophilic Substitution -- Examination of Sn1 and Sn2 reactions 7. Alkenes-- An overview of carbon-carbon double bond physical properties, nomenclature, formation by E1 and E2 reactions, and addition reactions (Markovnikov and Anti-Markovnikov Reactions) 8. Alkynes-- An overview of carbon-carbon triple bond physical properties, nomenclature, formation by elimination reactions, carbon-carbon bond formation, and addition reactions 9. Conjugated Dienes-- Diene reactions, spectroscopy, formation and properties 10.
