The algorithm formulates a ration that covers the requirements of the cow and the breeding bull for meat according to NRC parameters, Nutrient Requirements of Beef: Seventh Revised Edition: Update 2000. In "growing herd" we formulate a ration for the feeding and production of the calf, steer or heifer, whether it is its final use as a cow for breeding herds, dairy cow herds, fattening or breeding bulls. Equations for nutrition are sourced from NRC. Finally, in "feedlot" we make nutrition for the feeding and production of the steer or calf also based on the same equations as the growing bovine.
