This application will help you assess a neonates need for phototherapy using the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. With a few simple clicks the calculator provides you with a clear “yes” or “no” answer as to whether phototherapy is required. The calculator then goes even further and actually plots the bilirubin level on age appropriate nomogram. The application is internationally friendly allowing the bilirubin level to be entered using either mg/dL or μmol/L and has the option to calculate the infants age at the time the blood sampling.
