Himamat is an interactive app containing many holy scriptures mainly read by Orthodox Tewahdo Christians all over the world, during the Holy Week(Semune Himamat). This complete readings of the Holy Week (Gibre Himamat) with instruction and guide. It's contents are read and sung contemplating on the final week of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ before resurrection mainly purpose of his coming, the wage of sin, His sufferings and death on the cross and his burial and the glorious resurrection( Hosanna to Resurrection). It clearly navigates everyone in the church a journey in the holy bible and teaching of the holy fathers. The app also contains song of praises and prayers and hymns and instruction or worship. It is designed for everyone and best for Geez, Tigrinya, Amharic speaking Orthodox Tewahdo Christians or majority content is also translated to English . Gibre Himamat is an Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church book that is read in Holy week, the last week of Lent. The book contains readings of Palm Sunday, Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday (Spy Wednesday), Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday), Good Friday (Holy Friday), Holy Saturday and Easter. The book contains readings from Holy Bible, Orthodox Canonical books, Synaxarium, Miracles of Jesus Christ, Miracles of Saint Mary, Prophecies, Prayer Books, Haymanote Abew, and much collections The app is designed in material design which enables users read offline with comfort. In Addition to Gibre Himamat, the app contains The book of Tsome Digua and other Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church Fasting readings. Features of the App Theme • Material Design color schemes. • Setting for Night mode and Day Mode Navigation • User can configure the choice of translation and layout within the app. • Allow swiping between books • Book names could be displayed as list or grid views Fonts and Font Sizes • You can change fonts sizes from toolbar or navigation menu. • The app uses true type fonts for main view. Text Copy and Share • To copy a text to the device clipboard, tap on the text to select it. Then select the Copy button from the text selection toolbar. • To share a text with someone else, tap on text to select it. You can choose to share by text message, email, WhatsApp, etc. Contents • Book contents are rearranged and missing parts included • Colorful texts for the name of God, Jesus, St. Mary and Saints • Notices and Orders in the book are written in italic for emphasis Interface translations • Added interface translations in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromoo. • Changing the app Interface language will change menu item’s name. Audio and Text Synchronization (future pro update) • The phrases being read are highlighted and synchronized with the audio being heard. • Added new user setting ‘Highlight synchronized phrases’ to allow user to turn on/off the yellow highlighting when the audio is playing.
