Jellywatch is a database for monitoring ocean conditions, especially jellyfish populations.
Citizen scientists are encouraged to submit reports from around the world. The data will be freely available to download or browse. Report jellyfish blooms, red tides, and even clean “normal” conditions you observe. If you submit a photo, we can identify the species for you as well.

This App was developed in the Project GoJelly: a gelatinous solution to plastic pollution. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 774499, where we will use jellyfish as a source of innovative solutions to combat marine litter.
With this app, you will be able to upload pictures of jellyfish you see together with a location. The submissions help scientists in their research, by allowing a better localization of jellyfish as well as identifying new invasive species.
