Mit der Harzer Wandernadel Community App lässt sich komfortabel und einfach der Wanderfortschritt in den Stempelheften der Harzer Wandernadel per GPS mitstempeln, nachträglich nachstempeln und planen. Es werden die aktuellen Hefte mitgeliefert und regelmäßig von der Community gepflegt. Die Stempelstellen können per Namen, nahegelegener Ortschaft im Harz oder die HWN-Nummer via Suchfunktion gefunden und angeflogen werden. Die Abstempelungen werden in grün oder rot auf der Karte markiert, sodass auf den ersten Blick ersichtlich ist, welche Stellen schon absolviert wurden und welche noch offen sind. Der spontane Aufbruch wird durch die Anzeige der Stempelstellen in der Nähe vereinfacht, sodass vor Ort direkt ersichtlich ist, welche Stempelstellen in der Umgebung liegen. Die offiziellen Texte unterstützen mit zahlreichen Parkhinweisen und Informationen zu Geschichte und Besonderheit der Stempelstellen. Mit der 1-Klick-Anfahrtsnavigation kommst du schnell in die Nähe der Stempelstellen. Für komplexe Wanderungen besonders hilfreich: Die Koordinatenkopierfunktion macht die App zur perfekte Ergänzung zu spezialisierten Wandernavigationsapps, indem die aktuellen Koordinaten verfügbar sind und einfach in die Wanderroutenplanung übernommen werden können. Neben dem Import aus der alten App wird selbstverständlich auch die Datensicherung für zukünftige Gerätewechsel unterstützt.
