Hat Monkey is a small monkey with a hat who needs our help around the house. Young children will find the objectives satisfying as they help Monkey do everyday things they cannot yet do themselves, like turning off lights, opening the door for him, turning the pages of his bedtime book or sending text messages. They can also speak with him on the phone, and play music or simple games like hide and seek. The beautiful simplified graphics and interactions allow even the youngest children to identify what Monkey wants, to empathise with him, and learn how they can help him. Adapté d’un conte inuit, il propose une découverte de la culture du Grand Nord à travers une ambiance sonore apaisante, une voix off chaleureuse et des illustrations interactives épurées. Nous suivons ainsi les péripéties de Kamoeluk, un sapin qui ne voulait pas rester figé au même endroit et dont la détermination va lui permettre de se mouvoir et devenir un homme. Il est encouragé, par un merveilleux mentor, son copain l’oiseau, qui l’invite à se surpasser pour franchir différentes étapes … Kamoeluk, qui veut dire le sapin ronflant en Inuit, comprend deux parties : l’histoire d’un jeune sapin où il est possible d'interagir avec les personnages ou le décor. Par exemple, nous pouvons construire la maison de notre héros en déplaçant des pièces sur l’écran, comme avec un puzzle. Et des informations documentaires sur les Inuits, leurs coutumes et leur environnement. À tout moment, une aide peut être activée pour découvrir les interactions disponibles.
