Aughrim Tours Galway was produced by rememberwhen.ie for Aughrim Community Development Company. The App contains two tours. The first tour will bring you around the Aughrim Battle Site and introduce you to the armies and strategies that were deployed in the Battle of Aughrim which took place in Aughrim in 1691.
The second tour will bring you around Aughrim Village and introduce you to its unique history and many colourful characters.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. We advise you to quit the app when finished.

"With the centenary of the foundation of Northern Ireland in 2021, Chinese Welfare successfully applied to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop a project which would explore the contested history of the foundation of the state of Northern Ireland from the perspective of BAME communities.
It has been a fascinating journey as we have brought not only our own Chinese Community but other BAME groups on a heritage trail.
