Platstack is on a mission to help make finding, saving, organizing, sharing, exploring, and discovering topic-oriented content across the internet more visually pleasing, relevant, more timely, less noisy, a heck of lot more engaging, and definitely more personalized. It means making the web both useful and fun again.
A Big Problem: The internet is a gigantic noisy place. It’s so vast and platform segregated, that nowadays it’s very hard to find what and who you want easily. And when you do find it, now what? Save every piece of content across every platform? And sharing it...geez, not. Oh, and content discovery? Forget it, it’s one big Echo Chamber because of the “feed”.
Platstack’s app aims to solve this problem.
As a productivity, sharing and discovery app all combined in one, Platstack helps you save, organize, and share all your browser tabs in a single application. From Dropbox to YouTube, access all your web links in one click (instead of ten).
Save YouTube videos, Spotify playlists, Medium articles, Google documents...pretty much anything that has a URL. Platstack helps reduce tab overload by organizing the links you find online and instead of having dozens of open tabs at any given time, Platstack lets you quickly save links into their appropriate “Stacks” (digital folders), making it easier and faster to save the stuff you find online and then access it when you need it. Platstack also lets you send those links to others with a simple click of a single button. No more browser tab overload. No more tab closure anxiety. You can confidently close, open windows and regain focus online, cleaning up your digital space. Plus, if you make your Stack public, then you’re paying all of that research and knowledge forward to the next user searching for those very links within a given topic. Now that’s goodwill right there!
Save: Platstack allows you to save and store any link that you find in the course of your day, or need to be able to access quickly and easily. With Platstack, you’re able to easily drop any link you rely on into a Stack to save it for when you want it again.
Organize: Gone are the days when you’re forced to sift through folder after folder or long lists of bookmarks to find what you need. With Platstack, you can create Stacks specific to every element of your life that you need organized and sort your links accordingly. When you’ve saved everything you need, open a Stack to quickly pull up all the relevant links with a single click of a button.
Share: Don’t bombard your coworkers, friends, and family with dozens of links every time you want to coordinate or share valuable information. Instead, send them just one link — a link to a Stack that easily conveys what they need to know, gets them access to what they need, or sparks their interest in something new.
Explore: With a click of a button, save tons of time researching topics across the web by exploring publicly curated Stacks, which have been saved and organized by other Platstack users.
Engage: Information abounds and it’s incredibly noisy across the web, which makes finding credible content extremely difficult. Platstack’s interface allows users to interact with the Curator of the Stack with claps, favs and comments at the Stack level. And by publicly saving and organizing your links for other users to access, we like to lovingly call that open curated effort, “Stacking It Forward”.
If the mobile app is not your game, the Platstack Chrome Extension is there when you need it. By having Platstack in your back pocket either in our mobile app or Chrome Extension, you can access links from anywhere and on any device.
We’re developing this app to help solve a big problem and so your comments and feedback are not only appreciated but we aim to make this experience better for you and every Platstack user.
