Additionally, it trains learners to optimally manage airways during ALS events and to identify when a percutaneous cricothyrotomy technique may be required to rescue a failed airway event. The game uses scenarios set in virtual Out of OR Airway Management (OOORAM) setting including; emergency rooms, intensive care units, and inpatient hospital settings. DAARC lite is an educational product that is in full alignment with the SimLEARN OOORAM 2.0 program. When DAARC Lite and SimLEARN OOORAM 2.0 are combined they constitute a novel composite of a Virtual Avatar Game-based Learning System with task trainer activities and high-fidelity mannequin-based simulation scenarios are designed to help reduce patient morbidity and mortality associated with high stakes urgent and emergent airway management.
