Ball is an ET (Extra-Terrestrial) from the Planet Urachus orbiting the star Sacaidus 2.5 million light years from Earth. Ball crash-landed here while on a routine Recon mission. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get ball safe home to his father, Ball-Head. Ball's ancestors, the Elders, designed a maze of sacred paths that lead to several Portals across the galaxy. To keep Ball alive, stay on the paths, no matter what, against the odds of gravity and spiky enemies (called the Arachnids).
