It is a technical reference and guide for pilots for the most important instrument in any aircraft, especially the Airbus A320 when it comes to flying the aircraft and monitoring what it's doing at any given time.  'Aviate' or 'FLY' as we say is the top priority of tasks any pilot must do in normal and especially abnormal flight conditions.
