PreeMe+You vs. Preemie Care Utilizzo e statistiche

How is my baby doing today? Every NICU parent wants a meaningful answer to this question. Having a preemie is stressful. There is never enough time in the NICU for medical teams to communicate all the complex variables they are analyzing to take care of your baby. This app is a partner to parents and medical care teams. PreeMe+You utilizes a proprietary color system created and validated by doctors to track and communicate levels of NICU care and progress in five body system areas (breathing, eating, sleeping, temperature, and growth). This harmonizes communication between parents and rotating medical teams, preventing “lost in translation” and empowering parents with hands-on knowledge in real-time. It’s all the big and little things your medical team wants you to know about your baby’s personalized care if they had all the time in the world. Use the PreeMe + You App to help: - Track your baby’s whole body system progress and maturation in real-time. - Connect with how your medical team is caring for your baby. - Be fluent in NICU care and language. - Feel confident and comfortable communicating with your medical team. - Feel supported and build positive routines and rituals to care for your baby and yourself. - Feel prepared to take your baby home. Researchers at the University of Chicago are finding that NICU parents using the PreeMe+You app feel more connected and at ease in the NICU, helping them with worry and emotional stress. These successes have been presented at the following peer-reviewed conferences: Pediatric Academic Societies, Society for Pediatric Research, and Break the Cycle Health Disparity And Equity Conference for Children.

"The Preemie Care app is free and has humanitarian purposes. It supports healthcare professionals in neonatal risk assessment, based on gestational age and birth weight. The app is for all newborn caregivers, it proposes universal immediate care actions on the day of birth, based on scientific evidence. It also offers a minimum set of information that can be used when transferring the newborn to a hospital, or reference health unit, favoring the continuity of care. Pregnant and parturient women are encouraged to seek health services for assistance, however, the barriers and difficulties that can occur are well known. This application was developed especially for low-resource settings, in low and middle-income countries, considering that most cases of maternal death, stillbirths, and neonatal deaths occur in these places. The goal is to identify and take preventive action, based on the WHO recommendations of 'Intrapartum care for a positive birth experience', to improve the care of the woman giving birth and the newborn. If you have the Preemie Test medical device, the app will assist you in interpreting the result. If you don't have one, you can also use the app to assess birth conditions. It is important to know that health conditions and risk at birth depend on numerous variables and existing resources. Neonatal care situations can be complex and require the presence of a neonatology specialist. So be sure to check your health services. This project is coordinated by the Medical School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Other institutions based in Brazil and Mozambique participate in a collaborative way, through the contributions of their health professionals. SIEX Extension Project: 404297 (UFMG) preemie care "
