Free version of the app "Executive Functions 1 - Working Memory". This lite version contains 8 levels/exercises, compared to 349 of the full version. Executive Functions are a set of cognitive processes that allows to manage complex or unusual situations successfully. They regulate analysis, planning, control and coordination of the cognitive system, and control the activation and use of knowledge processes. It is widely believed that Executive Functions play a fundamental role in 'smart' behavior and that they can be trained and improved through specific exercises. Main executive functions are the acquisition and updating of Working Memory, Cognitive Flexibility and Behavioral Inhibition. The "Executive Functions" series of apps is dedicated to the exercise and improvement of these skills. The first app, which is presented here, is dedicated to 'Working Memory', and proposes exercises (8 in lite version, 349 in the full app) to verify, improve and use the ability to remember, recall and discriminate in the short term some elements that can be images, colors, words, voices or combinations thereof. Each exercise/level is divided into two stages: during the first, a set of stimuli is presented which must be memorized. Then, in the second stage it is required to use, list and/or discriminate between the elements presented. At the end of each exercise the app shows the result obtained and assigns scores and evaluations taking into account the relative difficulty, the number of elements proposed, the time taken and so on.

"Sequencing Tasks - Life Skills focuses on the cognitive skill of arranging photos of a task in chronological sequence. All of the pre-made tasks start off with a video demonstrating a life skills task such as "Washing your Hands". After the video is shown, a review of the task is provided using 3 still photos taken from the video depicting each step in the task. For example in the task of "Washing your Hands", the 3 steps would be "Put soap on your hands", "Wash your hands", and "Dry your hands". After the review, the student is presented with the task of arranging the photos in chronological order by dragging and dropping them into a sequence. All of the tasks are broken down into 3 steps. Statistics are gathered and saved for each session. The app gives you the opportunity to preview for free the "Washing your Hands" task. The app contains 4 groups of 7 tasks for in-app purchase. A discount is available for purchasing all 4 groups. The list of tasks are: - Putting on sneakers - Eating a hamburger - Throwing out the garbage - Buying candy - Making scrambled eggs - Talking on the phone - Eating potato chips - Washing your hands - Eating cereal - Putting on a bandaid - Eating cake - Laundry - Making a cheese sandwich - Painting a picture - Brushing your teeth - Scooping ice cream - Sweeping the floor - Eating a banana - Buying soda from the vending machine - Riding in a car - Stapling papers A new option is now introduced into the app which gives you the ability to create your own sequencing tasks with up to 10 steps per task.
