Many of the entries in Easton's are encyclopedic in nature, although there are also short dictionary-type entries. Smith's Bible Dictionary contains over 4,500 subjects and proper names are defined and analyzed with corresponding Scripture references. The dictionary has been used by Bible scholars since its introduction in the 1860's. Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology shows a name, idea, or theme is developed through Scripture. It connects all Old Testament and New Testament content on more than 700 theological ideas.
