Astar, from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, is an app to help you introduce your baby to the wonderful world of music. The app features a selection of popular classical music for you and your baby to enjoy together. Choose which track to play and enjoy watching the colourful animations of Scottish animals move along to the music. Listening to music with your baby can help in all sorts of ways, particularly if you play at the same time: - Communicating and bonding with you - Listening skills and awareness - Co-ordination - Learning to talk It can also help to create a happy, less-stressed environment, which is really important in helping a baby’s brain develop. RSNO Astar is divided into three sections: Wake, Play and Nap. Wake Say “Hello little one!” with a selection of gentle music to rouse your little one from slumber and get their day off to a pleasant start. Play Make playtime even more fun with music you can sing, clap and move around to. Nap When it’s time to relax and have a nap put on this beautiful quiet music to lull your little one into a peaceful sleep. The RSNO Astar App was developed in partnership with Ping Creates. The RSNO is supported by the Scottish Government.
