NKMP KoalaCounter vs Stocktake GLM Utilisation & Stats
The NKMP Koala Counter app has been developed by the National Koala Monitoring Program to enable ecologists to conduct systematic surveys for koalas. Both single-count and double-count transects are supported. Transects can be mapped against satellite imagery, and photos of habitat/animals can be taken while surveying.
The app uses your phone/tablet's GPS hardware to track your location while you are conducting a survey. The app will continue to track your location as long as you have an active survey, even if you move the app to the background.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Stocktake GLM is a decision support app created by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Queensland.
StockTake GLM represents the next generation in grazier decision support tools. It is based on the previous, well-respected Queensland Government Stocktake monitoring software but allows the user to complete their monitoring and calculations in the paddock on their mobile device for an immediate response.
Importantly, Stocktake GLM works without the need for mobile phone reception. You can store information and get results while you are in the paddock. This means your monitoring and feed budget data as well as your stock and rainfall records are with you at all times. All the reports on your device can be printed and/or backed up when you return to your office.
