Der Basel Stadtplan zeigt neben dem offiziellen Stadtplan des Kantons Basel-Stadt, viele weitere aktuelle und genaue Geodaten, Karten und Geoinformation der kantonalen Verwaltung. Der Kartenviewer umfasst über 25 verschiedene Themen mit insgesamt mehr als 100 zuschaltbaren Ebenen. Die mobile Version beinhaltet einen leicht reduzierten Inhalt der Standardversion. Die Standardversion kann unter map.geo.bs.ch gratis genutzt werden.
Die Applikation ermöglicht das Suchen nach Adressen oder Grundstücken, die Darstellung von interessanten Orten und den Einsatz verschiedener Zusatzinformationen (Distanzmessung etc.) Eine zuschaltbare GPS-Funktion erleichtert das Auffinden der eigenen Position auf der Karte.
