Red Animal vs KingB Organ Utilisation & Stats

Please note: This App comes with an AUv3 plugin extension. Red Animal is a component modeling emulation of a vintage Vox Continenal 301 electronic organ. INSTRUMENT BACKGROUND Bands like the Doors, the Animals, the Monkees made the Vox Continental one of the most famous electronic organs of the 60's. This particular model was made in the UK and also in Italy and was rather simple in both electronics and features. Like many other electronic organs of the same age, the sound generator is based on the so-called "Top Octave Synthesizer", TOS for short, responsible of the generation of 12 waveforms, one for each note of the last octave of the organ keyboard. The basic waveform in this case is a low-pass filtered square wave. The lower octaves are produced by means of "divider" circuits that halve the frequency of each waveform, going so forth for each lower octave down to the pedalboard tones. This organs offers only two different registers: Sine and Master, with 4 different foot lengths. The sound engine of GSi Red Animal is also featured in the GSi Gemini and the Crumar Mojo 61. Of course this type of instrument gives its best if run through external effects and amps. Have a look at the GSi catalog and experiment with some of the effects offered by GSi. Main features: - Component Modeling engine (no samples, all real-time synthesis) - Full Polyphony (61 notes, 12 Top-Octave Oscillators + Frequency Dividers) - Key multi-contact simulation with authentic and adjustable key click - Authentic recreation of the Vox register filters - Recreation of the background noise and leakage - Adjustable vibrato (speed and depth) - Built-in Stereo Delay effect - Built-in Stereo Reverb effect - Built-in programmer with unlimited Programs - Embedded user's manual - Available as Stand-alone application and audio plugin - Very low CPU and RAM usage

KingB is designed to capture the unique tones of the B and C series tonewheel organs. It uses a fresh modeling approach to generate tonewheel signals in real time, as well as to replicate the complex interplay of components that make the organ “sing”. Absolutely no samples are used. The interplay within the intricate network of tonewheels, components, wiring harnesses, and motor elements is synthesized to a convenient set of parameters. By using them, you are able to change the quirks of the underlying organ model. This helps parallel the variances heard among individual examples of the physical instrument, and even allows replicating the effects of aging or out-of-spec electronics. The new rotary speaker emulations are a deep dive into the 3D aural candy that makes tonewheel organs truly shine. Six unique cabinet models are complemented by four amps that provide extra warmth via our “Virtual Tube” technology. An additional guitar amp bus (with three models to choose from) runs parallel to the rotary for even more sound options. A set of carefully selected pre- and post-amplification effects are integrated for good measure (and may all the measures you play be good!) Three manuals, each with its own drawbar set, as well as over 130 organ and FX parameters are MIDI controllable. You can save and share MIDI maps, sound presets, and in-app audio recordings. Factory presets include over 110 sounds varying from laid back Jazz ditties to gnarly, Purple-colored distortion extravaganzas. KingB is ready to join your workflow as an AUv3. Both the app and the plugin are universal, and also support Apple Silicon Chip computers. :: Organ :: • 91/96 Virtual Tonewheels, including 12 complex wheels • 3 manuals with own drawbar sets • Scanner chorus/vibrato • Carefully recreated “Swell” (or “Expression”) pedal • Percussion with additional user-defined parameters • Variable modeling characteristics, including tonewheel interplay, component state and more. • 12 silent-switching drawbar presets on Swell and Great manuals, MIDI controllable • Optional lower foldback • Optional keyclick with adjustable parameters • Options to emulate M and T series organs as well as B and C ones. :: Rotary & Amps :: • Six rotary cabinets with different tonal and modulation characteristics • Adjustable fast and slow speeds for both horn & drum • Adjustable acceleration and deceleration • Adjustable mic angle, distance, and balance • Adjustable stereo panning parameters for both horn & drum • Four rotary amp types, as well as bypass • DI with panning • Parallel guitar amp with three models to choose from :: FX :: • Pre-Amp FX include, — Distortion/Overdrive with EQ & Mid Boost — 10-band graphic EQ — Wah with optional auto — Chorus/flanger with variable rate & depth — Tape delay emulation with self-oscillating feedback — Spring reverb • Post-Amp FX include, — Compressor with threshold, ratio, attack, and decay. — 15-band graphic EQ — Parametric reverb with 7 room types, pre, decay, and tone. :: Admin Stuff :: • Also runs as AUv3 • DAW-friendly fluid layout • Fully configurable MIDI key split, even allowing overlays • Easy MIDI learn, with ability to manually configure each MIDI parameter • 130+ MIDI parameters • MIDI map save, share, preset linkage • Velocity control for keyclick, amplitude, and percussion • Lockout mode for organ modeling settings & MIDI prefs • Create, save, and share unlimited banks and presets • 110+ factory presets • Stand alone app: audio recording & sharing • Compatible with Apple Silicon computers
