Iyyara is an app for halal food. It informs the user of available halal food options according to their halal preferences. This includes retail, restaurants, online sellers, and more! Businesses are first listed in Iyyara through user submissions and will be tagged ‘user generated’. Should these businesses choose to provide verification documents to Iyyara, their listing will then be tagged ‘Muslim Owned’ or ‘Halal Certified’ or other more accurate halal classification as appropriate. Verification services are provided for free for merchants for the benefit of Muslim consumers. Verifications need to be renewed yearly with updated documents for each business or brand. Bogus halal eateries or brands that are no longer in operation may pop up in this app from time to time. Users may help upkeep this app through reporting such listings.
