VTC Lifelong Learning vs EMM EDB Utilisation & Stats
Emerging technology shapes the fast-changing manpower requirement nowadays. Skills and knowledge obtained in pre-employment studies would not be sufficient for long-term career development. Re-skilling and upskilling during one’s career life are essential for equipping workforce to be competitive in the fast-paced digital era.
To fortify support to our graduates’ and students’ network to pursue continuous advancement, the VTC will launch a series of lifelong learning short courses to equip learners with hands-on skills and in-demand knowledge that would enrich their resume and enhance their employability.

Educational Multimedia (EMM) is provided by the Education Bureau (EDB) for kindergarten, primary and secondary students as well as teachers to support learning and teaching. EMM includes theme-based short videos, multi-ending micro movies, animations, nursery rhymes, picture books, photos, sound tracks, and videos which are divided into chapters and short clips of a few minutes. These resources are developed based on the school curriculum and students’ learning needs, and are provided freely for schools to facilitate the design of learning and teaching activities and to enrich students' learning experience. Besides, informational videos are also developed for parents and teachers to introduce the latest developments in education.
EMM resources are available on the Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity) EMM website (https://emm.hkedcity.net) and this mobile application.
