With MetricWire, researchers from any industry can gather high quality data on the real-world behaviours of study participants without writing a single line of code. Among the many features of the app is the ability for researchers to passively track your location, both as a recall aide for Time Use surveys, as well as for research purposes. This feature only applies if the researcher enables it for a study you participate in. This feature may be disabled at any time within the app's settings page. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
