Wo Hui Mandarin vs CPAIT-Chinese Pronunciation AI Utilisation & Stats
“Wo Hui” is Mandarin for “I can”. Wo Hui Mandarin is a growing community of teachers and learners of Mandarin Chinese in schools and universities who are turning “I can’t” into “I can!”
The YCT and HSK courses that are available online and in this are the only digital courses officially recognised by Chinese Test International – the organisation that develops, administers and scores the HSK and YCT exams.
LEARNER FOCUSSED
Each YCT or HSK level is presented as a different mountain to climb. There are 2 pathways up each mountain: one that optimised for the spoken form, the other for written. Each step along the pathways focusses you on one new thing at a time.
1. Acquire a new Chinese character
2. Unlock extra words by combining it with other characters you know
3. Put the unlocked words into sentences
OPTIMISED FOR TEST TAKERS
By allowing you to focus on the spoken and written forms of Chinese separately, you experience a smoother transition from lower to higher YCT and HSK levels when the phonetic transcriptions (Pinyin) are no longer included.

Have you had such experiences in learning and using Chinese?
- Can't be understood even be misunderstood;
- Can’t understand what others talking about;

Those problems may due to inaccurate Chinese pronunciation. No matter whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, accurate pronunciation is the basis for learning Chinese well.
CPAIT is a brand-new APP that focuses on improving users' pronunciation of Mandarin Chinese. It works as your AI tutor, and it is an offline app. It provides systematic practice contents: Pinyin->phrases->Short essays.
See details of CPAIT:
- An AI tutor: it can evaluate your pronunciations and give real-time feedback on how well you pronounced initials, finals, and tones. To practice, you just need to repeat 3 steps:
1. Read the given contents clearly, and listen to standard pronunciation if needed
2. Check the AI tutor's feedback
3. Adjust until pronounce accurately
- An offline app: once downloaded, you can practice anytime and anywhere without being limited by the network state. Your voice will NOT be uploaded to the internet. Better privacy conditions and faster experiences could be expected.
- Systematic practice contents:
- 400+ Pinyin: It's better to make sure you can pronounce Pinyin accurately first. When you can pronounce all pinyin accurately, you can read all the Chinese characters(more than 5000) accurately. And the correct pronunciation of pinyin can also help with writing in pinyin. CPAIT includes initials, finals, syllables as a whole, and all possible spell combinations in the pinyin part. For finals, syllable as a whole and spell, common four-tone exercises are provided together with a visual tone tracking graph to help you feel the difference between standard pronunciation and yours more intuitively.
- 5000+ phrases: include International Chinese Proficiency Grading 1-6 level vocabulary and tone sandhi vocabulary.
-90+ Short essays: include Chinese mottos, ancient Chinese poems, and classical Chinese essays. In addition to practicing sequentially from beginning to end, you can select a certain segment to practice.
