Background: The purpose of this application is to streamline the process of determining whether a product is permissible for consumption under Islamic dietary laws, particularly in non-Muslim countries. It aims to accommodate a wide range of users, including both residents and travellers, regardless of their location. The pursuit of this idea goes back to 2021, when I (Shaheer Ahmed) experienced difficulty in identifying halal products during his initial days of living in the UK. Although most products found are suitable for Muslims diet, but it's still something of a concern specially for the newly settled individuals. Despite the existence of other applications that offer barcode scanning capabilities, I recognized that many products cannot be identified via barcode due to limited data accessibility. As a result, the application offers the option to scan ingredients directly on a product or manually search for ingredients if they cannot be scanned.
