Introducing the Know Your Rights Camp App, an ultimate guide to navigating the unjust system of traffic laws and policing in your area. With this app, YOU can arm YOURSELF with the knowledge of traffic laws and learn how to protect YOURSELF during police encounters. KNOWING YOUR RIGHTS IS ESSENTIAL TO PROTECTING YOURSELF. The KYRC App is designed to empower you with the information you need to challenge the systemic injustices COMMITTED BY COPS AND THROUGHOUT THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. With just a few taps on your smartphone, you can access information on traffic laws in your area, what to do when you're pulled over, your rights to protest, and learn how to use this knowledge to assert your rights and PROTECT yourself against police violence. The KYRC App also offers tips on how to interact with COPS during traffic stops, providing you with the tools you need to navigate these interactions safely and assertively. Moreover, the app provides resources on restorative justice and community-based interventions to support Black and Brown empowerment and police abolition. In addition, the KYRC App provides resources for our two important initiatives that aim to empower communities affected by police violence. Our Autopsy Initiative offers free secondary autopsies to families affected by police violence, ensuring that they have access to independent and impartial investigations of their loved ones' deaths. Additionally, our Legal initiative offers free legal advice to protesters, helping them to assert their rights and defend themselves against unjust arrests and prosecutions. By serving as a free tool for inspiring and empowering the next generation of change leaders through updates, events, news, and resources to navigate oppressive systems that affect countless communities, the Know Your Rights Camp app serves as a platform for supporting and amplifying the voices of THE next generation of change leaders. Colin Kaepernick and his partner, Nessa, founded Know Your Rights Camp (KYRC) in 2015 in response to police terrorism against BLACK AND BROWN PEOPLE by offering legal, cultural, and community resources to help YOUTHS fight back against systemic oppression, police terrorism, and racial inequality. Our mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass mobilization, and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders. The Know Your Rights Camp app is free and available to download on iOS devices.
